Here is the procedure to follow, depending on the different cooking methods, to obtain a filet mignon, juicy and tender as desired.

Cooking filet mignon in the oven

For starters, baking is an ideal method for preparing juicy, perfectly browned filet mignon. First, make sure your filet mignon is at room temperature before cooking it. Preheat your oven to 200°C and season the meat with salt, pepper and herbs of your choice. Next, heat an ovenproof skillet with a little oil over medium-high heat. Sear the filet mignon on both sides until golden brown, then transfer it to the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes to cook until cooked through. Remember to let the meat rest for a few minutes before cutting to retain its juices.
