Who would have thought that cooking a simple chicken in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom could bring in that much?

Available since May 12 (after six long years of waiting), the direct sequel to Breath of the Wild delivered on most of its promises, allowing players to navigate the game’s old map, reworked for the occasion to offer the possibility of exploring danger-filled depths as well as a set of floating islands in the air.

If Nintendo’s open world title did not provide the same shock as its predecessor, it received rave reviews from critics (96/100 on Metacritic, sorry). The game is in this regard one of the natural favorites for the Game of the Year 2023 award, where it will notably have to face Baldur’s Gate 3which became the highest-rated game in PS5 history.

KFC offers an incredible challenge to players

If you have played The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you know that crafting takes a huge place in the game, whether it’s fusing items or experimenting with strange craft. • a chicken (obviously)
  • oil
  • 11 herbs and spices of their choice

Fans got in on the action, and many took the time to share their cooking lessons on social media using the hashtag #TheRecipeRun. But only one left with incredible loot.

He leaves with a reward worth 11,000 euros

Because, yes, if the players who successfully completed the challenge all left with redeemable codes offering five pieces of chicken from KFC Spain (which is the origin of the competition), the one who managed to come first is none other than ‘a French : Keuss. He managed to close the case in just one hour and seven minutesteleporting to different places on the map to obtain the famous ingredients sought.

As a reward, he got — hold on tight — a golden chicken leg, whose value is estimated at 11,000 euros. A sum that makes you think…
