  • 1 tray of 250 g of ground beef
  • 4 large yellow, red or orange peppers (vary the colors!)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 jar of tomato sauce
  • Rice
  • Cheddar
  • Olive oil
  • Cumin, chili powder, garlic powder (to taste)
  • Salt pepper

Preparing terribly delicious stuffed Halloween peppers

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Add a teaspoon of baking soda (food grade) and salt to the ground beef. Let sit for 20 minutes.
  3. Wash the peppers, cut the tops, then hollow them out. Sculpt pumpkin faces into the vegetables using a serrated knife. Make 2 eyes and 1 nose in a triangle, without forgetting the terrifying jagged mouth. Mwahahaha!
  4. Pour a drizzle of olive oil into a baking dish. Place the peppers there, then sprinkle them with salt.
  5. Cook the peppers for 20 minutes at 220°C.
  6. Sauté a diced yellow onion in olive oil for 5 minutes.
  7. Add the beef with 3 finely chopped garlic cloves.
  8. Season everything with: salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder.
  9. Remove excess beef fat.
  10. Add a jar of tomato sauce, rice and grated cheddar.
  11. Fill the well-cooked peppers meat and cover them with cheese.
  12. Bake them in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes at 220°C (the cheese must be well browned).
