The daily newspaper “The Buffalo News” reported this week that the organization intends to limit the number of tickets available for pre-sale for customers located outside the region.
To do this, the postal code of customers would be used to identify those who can make purchases. Currently, the exact measurements and relevant details have not been specified by the club.
– You have to be a LOSER…
– Come tell you after that the NHL is a major league..
– RIDICULOUS…
The local newspaper, however, indicated in its article that the objective is to reduce the number of Canadian fans when the Habs and the Toronto Maple Leafs come to town.
The same goes for the Americans who cheer on the New York Rangers, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings, all teams located relatively close to Buffalo.
“Certainly, during several games last year, we saw a bad shade of blue or red in the building, depending on the jersey we were wearing.
“It’s a topic that we’ve talked about and we’ve talked about trying to figure out how to get tickets into the hands of Buffalo fans,” admitted Frank Batres-Landaeta, the club’s vice president of sales.
According to the same source, the Sabers had around 10,000 season ticket holders in 2022-23, compared to around 6,500 the previous year. In addition, the Canadian will visit the city of chicken wings on Monday, October 23 and Saturday, December 9.
