Delonghi La Specialista Vs Breville Barista Express: Which Coffee Maker Is Best For You?

When it comes to making espresso at home, there are two main types of machines: those that use pods or capsules, and those that require you to grind your own coffee beans. If you’re looking for a machine that will let you customize your coffee exactly the way you like it, then you’ll want to go with a bean-grinder. But if you’re not interested in fussing with beans and just want something easy, a pod or capsule machine is the way to go.

Delonghi La Specialista vs Breville Barista Express? Do you love coffee? Do you want to make the perfect cup of coffee at home, but don’t know where to start? If so, then you need to read this post.

Buying a home espresso machine is a big decision. There are so many different models on the market, each with their own unique features and benefits. So, how do you know which one is right for you? In this blog post, we’ll compare two of the most popular machines on the market: the DeLonghi La Specialista and the Breville Barista Express. Delonghi La Specialista Coffee Maker

The Delonghi La Specialista Coffee Maker is an amazing, deep coffee making experience. This machine was engineered to produce the best specialty drinks with its patented extraction process. On top of that, you won’t have to worry about your water being at the right temperature for brewing because this is a thermoblock system and has a pre-heating function as well as a frothing arm.

Customers who own this coffee maker say it is great and even goes as far as saying that they will never buy another drip coffee maker again just like many other reviewers on Amazon.com indicating that this truly must be one of those special products. Let’s take closer look at what makes it so unique:

The Delonghi La Specialist coffee maker is a unique espresso maker because of its patented extraction process. Most espresso machines heat up the water and pump it through the ground coffee in a fraction of a second. This doesn’t extract all of the flavor from the beans, leaving you with weak coffee that has no taste or is too bitter.

The Delonghi La Specialist coffee maker extracts rich flavors from your favorite gourmet coffee beans in approximately two minutes by cycling water at 90 atmospheres of pressure through your grounds. This is much more thorough than any other drip brew machine on the market today, making for a bolder flavor and better overall taste when compared to traditional methods.

There are a lot of similar products on the market but none have been able to duplicate what this one can do. If you are looking for a truly rich, full bodied coffee with flavor that is strong enough to wake you up but not so bitter that it makes your stomach feel bad, then the time has come to take a look at this remarkable machine.

The Delonghi La Specialist coffee maker also includes an automated milk frother that steams your milk just right every time. So if you can’t drink your coffee without adding some froth to it or have company over and want to impress them with excellent cappuccinos, this machine won’t let you down.

You can easily create smooth, velvety foam by pressing the button on the front of the machine because all of its settings are fully automatic; there isn’t anything that you need to do by hand and it will deliver professional quality beverages time after time.

This machine is perfect for anyone who loves specialty coffee drinks but doesn’t want the hassle of having to find a nearby coffee shop to get them when they don’t have one at home. Not only does this espresso maker make great cappuccinos, but you can also make yourself some delicious lattes with it as well.

So if you are looking for an easy way to create true Italian style coffee in your own kitchen at any time of day or night, then click here now to place your order on Amazon while it’s still available!

How To Make Coffee With Delonghi La Specialista?

The Delonghi La Specialista is a fully automatic coffee machine that allows you to make cappuccinos and espressos. It features professional quality stainless steel milk pitchers that ensure your beverages are of the best quality. One of the advantages of this appliance is that it can be programmed to suit your daily preferences, which makes for an even more enjoyable morning routine. All in all, this product has everything you need to get started on your way to becoming your own barista.

It is important for you to get familiar with how your machine works so that making drinks becomes second nature. Many machines today come with instructions manuals but if yours did not, here are some general instructions for setting up the Delonghi La Specialista .

First, you need to purchase coffee. Make sure that the beans are fresh and of high quality. If you have a grinder, grind your beans immediately before making your espresso or cappuccino. Beans can simply be put inside the hopper on top of the machine, where they will be ground automatically for use in beverages.

You also need to get familiar with how much water is required for each drink size you want. The Delonghi La Specialista requires 50 milliliters (2 oz.) for an espresso shot, 120 milliliters (4 oz.) for a double espresso shot, 200 milliliters (6-7 oz.) for a standard cup of coffee and 260 milliliters (8 oz.) for a large cup of coffee. You can also purchase a 1 liter water tank to supply the machine with more water, enough for up to 60 drinks.

Once you have everything in place, simply follow these steps:

– Fill the reservoir with fresh cold water

– Add your favorite kind of bean into the hopper

– Press the large black button on top of the machine before placing a cup or glass under spout

– Press any other desired drink size button depending on how much espresso/coffee you want

– Wait for your beverage to dispense

– Enjoy!

The Pros And Cons Of Delonghi La Specialista

If you are looking for a machine to make your drinking experience really pleasurable, you should consider getting the La Specialist. This device will offer delicious coffee just the way you like it every time you use it. It’s not an easy task to find high-quality drip brew makers these days, but do not worry because we have done the legwork for you.

The Pros

Here are some of the pros of using this excellent brewing machine:

– Durability

As with other devices manufactured by reputable brands, this one is also built to last long no matter how often it has been used. The materials used are corrosion resistant which means that they are rust proof as well so drinking your favorite beverage will never be a concern again.

– Efficient

This machine is more efficient compared to other drip brew makers because of its power saver mode. In this mode, the device adjusts heat and power usage to save up on energy costs. You can also opt for an Energy Saver mode which the company claims will reduce energy consumption by as much as 70 percent. The brewing process will be slower but you can always speed it up by pressing on a single button or two so there is no need to worry at all about efficiency issues.

– Affordable Price Range

If you are a coffee lover, you may have probably spent thousands of dollars going from one cafe to another just looking for that perfect cup of java only to leave feeling disappointed every time. With this in mind, it is worth noting that in the long run you can actually save money by buying the La Specialist which will offer you a great deal of convenience.

– Easy Cleaning Process

All parts are removable for easy cleaning and there’s no need to get rid of your favorite ground coffee because this brewer does not come with a permanent filter so you can use whatever kind of coffee grinds you prefer.

The Cons

It looks like the La Specialista is a good machine, but you should know about its downsides before you purchase it:

– Expensive maintenance and repairs: The La Specialista costs $1800 to replace important parts like the steam hose. If anything goes wrong, expect it to be an expensive fix or replacement.

– Not user-friendly: Most consumers find this machine very confusing and frustrating to use. Some won’t even get it to work after hours of tinkering.

– Odd design features: When compared with other espresso machines in its price range, the De’Longhi has several notable flaws that make it less than ideal for making coffee drinks at home.

Breville Barista Express

The Breville Barista Express is the perfect coffee machine for any person who loves coffee or wants to get into making their own coffee. It has everything you need all in one box, so it’s quick and easy. Whatever kind of drinks you prefer – espresso, cappuccino, latte etc., the Barista Express can do it all just like a professional barista.

You can also adjust some of your settings to adjust your drink. You can control some of the temperature and amount of time that goes into it depending on whether you want to go hotter or cooler than normal or if you want more water/steam going through the device which will give a different overall.

You can customise your own drinks and dial some things up and some down depending on your preferences.

It also comes with a 64 oz water tank, so you won’t have to refill it all the time while making coffee. It also has some neat features like dual spouts where you can choose between two different cup sizes – either one serving or two servings in smaller cups. This means that if you are only making one drink for yourself then you don’t have to pour out half of it into another cup, yet if you are making something for both yourself and somebody else then there’s no need to make two separate drinks.

The Barista Express is capable of using ESE Pods which are easy to discard after use which makes this machine even easier to use. You don’t need to mess around with coffee grounds or you can even get rid of the mess with an espresso pod machine

The Barista Express is a great choice for any type of person. From beginners who want to learn how to make their own coffee, all the way up to experts who just want something that’s quick and easy without needing to have a degree in barista-ing.

How To Make Coffee With Breville Barista Express?

Using a Breville Barista Express is a great way to make yourself a perfect cup of coffee every time. This machine is very simple to use and even easier to clean up. Cleaning your machine should be done daily, as well as running the cleaning cycle which will happen automatically. Make sure that you read through this article fully before using your machine for the first time!

In order to prepare the Breville for it’s first usage, simply soak all parts in vinegar water overnight to remove any residue from shipping or manufacturing. The next morning, rinse and dry all parts and follow these steps:

– Unpack fresh beans and grind them at setting 8 . I recommend making a small trial batch with some other setting so you can find what you prefer.

– Fill the water reservoir all the way to the top with cold water, using filtered if possible.

– Add fresh beans to filter basket. I recommend about 5 tablespoons of coffee for a full pot.

– Place filter basket into machine and push down firmly until it clicks into place.

– Remove carafe, turn on machine by pressing on/off button once, set selector knob to Drip position and press again to power on machine. This is where you will control your desired brewing time (measured in seconds). For example my own personal preference is 22 seconds for my first cup of coffee in the morning so I know I’m fully awake…You can also change the brew temp on the Barista Express using the knob on top.

– The machine will take about 15-20 seconds to start, you’ll see it light up and hear water begin to pour. Once this happens you can place carafe back in unit and press down on Brew Pause switch (this stops the flow of coffee during brew cycle). If you forget, simply move lid slightly open after unit is done brewing to stop the flow of coffee.

– After your desired time has passed (remember that number!) or when pump sounds like it’s slowing down, press Drip Stop again to finish brewing process. Coffee should be ready in about 2 minutes after hitting Drip Stop…and delicious!

– Remember that each pot full size batches will have coffee grounds in the filter basket. If this is a concern for you, use a Mini-Mug or a Silicone spoon to remove any larger grounds from the carafe and enjoy your wonderful cup of fresh Crema Coffee!

Delonghi La Specialista vs Breville Barista Express? It’s always best to store your beans in an airtight container away from light and excessive heat. The Barista Express keeps 30 ounces on water in the tank at all times which means that over time some may evaporate even if machine is not being used. Once per month I recommend using distilled water rather than filtered…remember that hard water has more minerals inside of it which can affect how properly machine performs.

The Pros And Cons Of Breville Barista Express

The Pros

Coffee has gained popularity over the years. With coffee shops sprouting up all around, many people have acquired a taste for espresso-based drinks. If you are one of these people who relish quality in their brew, then it is time to get yourself a super automatic espresso machine. You will be spoiled for choice with the variety of models, which you can choose from these days. You may have a hard time deciding on one as all of them claim to be top notch.

One such brand which has been making waves in the market is Breville Barista Express. A number of features make this super automatic espresso machine worth your attention. If you are still contemplating whether or not to buy it, then read on and find out more about what makes Breville a popular choice among coffee lovers.

– Compact Design

The first thing that will catch your eye about the Breville Barista Express is its compact design. This extremely smart-looking espresso machine will fit easily into any kitchen without taking too much space. In fact, the whole unit measures 13.4″ H x 9.8″ W x 12.5″ D and weighs only 19 lbs, which is quite compact as compared to other models in the same range.

– Excellent Controls

The Breville Barista Express offers you excellent control over the brewing process. Not only does it allow you to choose between three different coffee strengths – regular, strong and extra-strong – but also lets you control the amount of water that goes into your drink – 1 ½ ounces for a single shot and 2 ½ ounces for an Americano. If this does not offer enough flexibility according to your taste, then just choose the option of adjusting temperature manually from 170°F to 210°F for milk frothing or simply use one of its preset temperatures. You can also set the system to automatically turn off after 30 minutes of non-use, which comes in really handy if you are not a regular coffee drinker.

The machine even includes an automatic purge feature that will flush all the remaining water from the machine’s internal lines about ten seconds before the brewing process starts. This ensures that you have a cleanup free operation and always get piping hot espresso every time.

– Compatible with different kinds of Pods

The Breville Barista Express features a special ‘puck’ tray where you can place your used pods for disposal. This means you needn’t open up the machine just to empty it out – something that is quite inconvenient with other models. In case you want to use ground coffee instead, you can easily do so with the help of a built-in coffee grinder. The grinder will adjust itself to grind coffee for any type of pod, be it Nespresso or Keurig.

– Quality Espresso Made Easy

This super automatic espresso machine makes brewing quality espresso extremely easy and convenient. It allows you to stretch or reduce your shot effortlessly and also offers a wide range of selections when it comes to making cappuccinos and lattes. All that is required on your part is just sliding back the milk container lid and placing your cup under the steam nozzle – something that takes mere seconds! Using the Breville Barista Express is also nice and quiet since it runs on a high torque motor instead of a noisy gear system. This motor delivers around 9 bars of high pressure every time and comes with a 5 point adjustable frothing nozzle, which allows you to create different kinds of milk foam such as micro bubbles or velvety smooth froth.

As if all these features were not enough, the Breville Barista Express even includes an automatic back flush cleaning process that ensures optimal hygiene and fewer clogging problems. It comes with a 3 liter water tank and can heat up enough water for 17 shots at one go. For maximum convenience the machine also has a large drip tray and cord storage facility.

The Cons

– There are some other parts on this espresso maker which seem to be made cheaply . Namely, they include the drip tray (some people claim that small drops of water fall onto their counter after using), as well as other minor components such as dispens levers for hot water & milk.

– The frothing wand isn’t the best when it comes to preparing milk for drinks . You will need to warm up the wand in order to get better results, but doing this will cause you problems in other parts of your beverage (like making your espresso too hot).

– On top of this, if you don’t cover the wand completely with milk when making drinks like cappuccinos, lattes or macchiatos, then it can burn. This is because the steam released from the machine will come out right at your drink!

What Are The Main Differences Between These Two Coffee Machines?

Despite sharing a common objective (making quality espresso and cappuccino) and both having received many positive reviews, the key differences between the Delonghi La Specialista and Breville Barista Express lie in their respective designs.

The former is a point of use appliance; it is meant to be placed on top of your kitchen counter or table whereas the latter is very compact and can easily fit into most kitchens without taking too much space.

Secondly, while both use thermoblock heating systems, something that provides steam for wetting and foaming milk only every 2nd shot, the DeLonghi machine has a single boiler whereas the Breville has two: one dedicated to heating the water and the other one to making steam.

This implies that, as long as there is enough hot water left in the boiler of the first unit, you can continue brewing even if you empty steamed milk into your cup; whereas on a single boiler system like the DeLonghi one you need first to allow time for it to reheat.

Now let’s take a look at what functions each machine offers:

On this aspect both machines do quite well but we find it really great that Breville added an extra customisable temperature control (instead of just high/low) so you can pick whatever suits best for your needs and taste. This means that all those who love their coffee either very hot or pleasantly warm will be able to achieve this with the Barista Express.

Another advantage of the latter is its use of anti-spill protection (which can be deactivated) which means that you always get to pour the amount of milk you intended without spilling it all over your counter or table.

Whereas on the DeLonghi La Specialista you will have to set the right amount of milk beforehand in order not to spill anything since there is no adjustable anti-spill feature.

The Breville Barista Express also works fine when it comes to pre-brewing, allowing water for making espresso to be poured into its filter holder before switching on. The same cannot be said about the Delonghi La Specialista, however, which needs water already in place before it switches on.

On the functions front, the DeLonghi La Specialista scores high for its built-in steamer which no other machine in this comparison has. But you cannot steam and brew at the same time so this is not something that can always be considered an advantage.

Another function of both machines is grinding beans before brewing coffee but Breville goes a step further as it allows you to adjust grind size (manually or automatically) as well as giving you the option between two different volumes: 28 grams or 40 grams.

Finally, those who love their milky coffees will appreciate having a dedicated hot milk frother system on board whereas with Delonghi this must first be achieved by means of a handheld steam gun.

So, as you can see, even though both boast high quality construction and great performance there are certain differences between these machines. These include the type of heating element (thermoblock vs single-boiler), dedicated hot water tank (Breville only) and pre-brewing (Breville only).

With regards to price, at least for now you will be able to find the Breville Barista Express for approximately £250 while the DeLonghi La Specialista is priced at around £200. The former model will therefore not cost you much more than the latter but it definitely provides more value in terms of functions. You decide if this extra value justifies spending that bit extra on Breville’s machine…
